The EPEAT 2.0 Benefits Calculator enables purchasers to quantify and report on the environmental and economic benefits of purchasing EPEAT 2.0 registered products.
Using updated lifecycle assessment methodologies, including the latest product energy consumption and refreshed regional electricity grid data, the calculator provides organizations with a modern, science-based approach to measuring the impacts of sustainable electronics procurement decisions.
Information Needed to Calculate Benefits
To calculate benefits, users will need to enter:
- The number of EPEAT 2.0 registered products purchased
- Product category and product type
- EPEAT tier level (Bronze, Silver, or Gold)
- Region where the products are being used
Purchasers can use this workbook to gather relevant data for input into the calculator.
Optional Customization fields allow users to further refine calculations based on:
- Electricity costs
- Product lifespan extension
- Product reuse and recycling
- Mobile phone product weight
- Server CPU configurations
