PC-2017-02 Outcomes Report Now Available.
Verification Round PC-2017-02 investigated criteria from IEEE 1680.1 which had high rates of Non-Conformance during the last four Verification Rounds or which had not been recently investigated.

Verification Round PC-2017-04 for PCs and Displays kicked off August 9, 2017 with Level 0 investigations. Level 1 investigations are expected to begin in October. In this round products and criteria were chosen randomly. A total of sixty-nine (69) Level 0 and Level 1 investigations were planned for this round. All active products, geographies, and Manufacturers were eligible for inclusion. All criteria except 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 were eligible for inclusion. Verification Round PC-2017-03 is now underway. A Level 0 investigation period has already been completed. This round will investigate criteria for which verification requirements are difficult to prove, as well as criteria which have not been recently verified. TV-2017-01 began on Monday, May 15. This is a Level 1 verification round which includes all manufacturers and all countries, and is focused on criteria which have not been previously verified. The 2017 EPEAT Verification Plan has had some minor adjustments to accommodate training for new EPEAT staff. EPEAT has added a Level 0 investigation phase to the existing schedule. Level 0 investigations do not require any effort on the part of EPEAT Participating Manufacturers. The updated 2017 EPEAT Verification Plan may be downloaded here. The Outcomes Report for EPEAT Verification Round IE-2016-02 is now available for download at this link. This Verification Round involved lab evaluation of two randomly chosen imaging equipment products from Manufacturers whose products had never been tested to date via Level 2 / 3 investigation. The Round consisted of twenty-one (21) investigations. There were sixteen (16) Level 2 / 3 investigations and five (5) Level 1 investigations.
12/21/2016 UPDATE: The public comment period for Clarification 32 has now closed.
In 2014 the EPEAT Conformity Decision Panel (CDP) issued Clarification 32 about EcoLeaf environmental declarations for product categories that are published on the JEMAI website that are conformant with IEEE 1680.2 criteria 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124, and partially conformant with criterion 126.96.36.199. The CDP recently made a minor update to the Clarification to add another listing for applicable Product Category Rules.
Comments will be accepted from all interested stakeholders until December 16, 2016. Comments may be sent to Erin Gately. At the end of the comment period, EPEAT will review the comments and communicate the effective date, as applicable. 12/21/2016 UPDATE: The second public comment period for Clarification 37 has now closed.
Following extensive comments received during an initial 30-day comment period, the Green Electronics Council has opened a second 30-day comment period for EPEAT Clarification 37. The previous comments have now been incorporated into the Clarification, which is being opened for another 30-day public comment period. The current draft of Clarification #37 and the link to provide comments is available here.
EPEAT Clarification 37 addresses the applicability of the JEMAI Carbon Footprint of Product Communication Program to criteria 188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 for Imaging Equipment and 18.104.22.168 for Televisions.
Comments will be accepted from all interested stakeholders until December 16, 2016. At the end of the comment period, EPEAT will determine and communicate the effective date.
[12/8/16 UPDATE: This comment period has now closed.] A participating EPEAT Manufacturer asked if products certified to the Korean Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) Carbon Footprint (CFP) labeling program, including the basic phase 1 level certification, are deemed conformant with IEEE 1680.2 Imaging Equipment criteria 22.214.171.124 and 126.96.36.199.
