Currently, DOE COE (Common Operating Environment) electronics procurement at Headquarters is conducted through a Master Task Order issued under the Department of Commerce GWAC COMMITS (COMMerce Information Technology Solutions). Under the DOE-HQ Master Task Order, DOE conducts an annual market survey to evaluate supplied models of desktop-computers with DOE-HQ IT specifications for potential procurement over the course of the fiscal year. In the recent annual market survey "Department of Energy - Desktop Evaluation Requirements for FY07", the following specification was included: "DOE Headquarters has a requirement for models of desktop computers registered through the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool."
