4.0 Environmental Requirements All desktops and monitors shall meet the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy ENERGY STAR GUIDELINES and have the Energy Star label or certification by independent third party eco-labeling programs. In 2004, EOP joined the Federal Electronics Challenge with a number of other Federal agencies in an effort to promote the sustainable environmental stewardship of Federal electronic asserts. The EOP seeks to reduce the environmental and energy impacts of electronics their use, and disposal, through continuous improvements in design, material choices, reuse, demanufacturing and recycling. Therefore, all equipment procured through this contract, to the greatest extent possible, shall meet or exceed the mandatory environmental performance criteria under the Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) or its successor. Reporting: The contractor shall provide quarterly reports to the COTR quantifying the number of EPEAT registered products purchased under this contract. The information must be reported in a matrix providing the following data for the current quarter, the fiscal year, and the duration of the contract: Product type Unregistered Bronze Silver Gold Desktop Notebook Monitor In Evaluation Criteria: The capability of the items offered to meet the environmental performance criteria or higher under the Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT). Additional consideration will be provided for products that meet EPEAT Silver or EPEAT Gold registration requirements.
