Participants

EPEAT® is built around the participation and contributions of those involved in electronics development and purchasing, as well as representatives from governments, environmental advocacy organizations and academia. The combined knowledge and cooperation of this diverse set of stakeholders helps ensure EPEAT sets a challenging bar for environmental performance and continues to move markets toward environmentally preferable product design and management.

Stakeholders play a key role in setting and enforcing the environmental standards on which the EPEAT system is based. The EPEAT Advisory Council  is comprised of various constituents who provide guidance to EPEAT management. A global network of Product Registration Entities works with Participating Manufacturers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all product declarations made to the EPEAT registry. Purchasers around the world represent yet another key stakeholder segment, as do the Channel Partners who help their customers identify greener electronics.
