The Plan for Verification Round PC-2015-02 is now available and can be found here. This Round will focus on one criterion (18.104.22.168) for which higher rates of higher non-conformance have occurred in previous Verification Rounds. This Round will also target specific criteria (22.214.171.124, 126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52) for which, in a previous investigation, a product was archived to restore the accuracy of the Subscriber’s declaration, but no further information was provided as to whether the issue causing the non-conformance impacted other registered products and if so, how this would be addressed with corrective actions. In total, thirty-five (35) investigations are planned.
EPEAT has taken a “snapshot” of the Registry, which identifies the manufacturer declarations at that point in time. Using this “snapshot,” EPEAT has already selected products for investigation. Subscribers will be notified on June 1, 2015 if their products were chosen.
To help Subscribers improve their understanding of the criteria and prepare documentation for this verification round, EPEAT will be holding interactive training webinars on criteria 184.108.40.206, 220.127.116.11, 18.104.22.168, and 22.214.171.124. Three times are scheduled for the webinar – one each for European, North American and Asian business hours:
Additionally, EPEAT’s Online Learning Center has pre-recording training modules for every criterion in the 1680.1 standard, including 126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206, and 220.127.116.11. These modules are designed to de-mystify the criteria’s requirements, and to illustrate the types of information needed during a Verification Round. Participating manufacturers with questions about what information is needed to demonstrate conformance to a specific criterion may also want to review these modules. If you do not yet have access to the Training Center, please contact Andrea Desimone (ADesimone@greenelectronicscouncil.org) and she will help you get started.
Join EPEAT’s Jonas Allen and Andrea Desimone for an overview of the EPEAT system and live walk-through of the EPEAT Registry. Learn how to use EPEAT to purchase more sustainable computers, displays, printers, copiers, televisions, and more.
The webinar will cover:
The webinar will end with a question and answer session.
We have scheduled multiple sessions, each covering the same content. Please choose the one that works best for your schedule.

EPEAT’s Conformity Assurance Manager, Susan Herbert will be holding an interactive training webinar about specific criteria for the computers and displays standard to help Subscribers improve their understanding of the criteria and prepare for upcoming verification rounds.
Susan will present details on the following criteria from the computers/displays standard:
We will be hosting this webinar three times, to accommodate all time zones. Note that all 3 sessions will contain the same information, so you only need to attend one.
Conformity Assessment Training – September 30 – October 3, 2013 in Portland, OR, USA
Delegates will learn about the EPEAT® system, and conformance to the IEEE 1680.1 standard for computers and computer displays, the 1680.2 standard for imaging equipment and the 1680.3 standard for televisions, from product declaration through verification. Delegates who successfully complete the full 4-day training and pass the certificate exam will meet the training requirement to perform conformity assessment and verification investigations for an EPEAT-approved certification body.
Manufacturers who take this course will gain in-depth knowledge of the system operations, the environmental requirements of the standards, and how to achieve and demonstrate conformance. You will learn in detail the product declaration process; the product, service and corporate criteria; and the verification process.
