INDEX TO STANDARD INTERPRETATIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS
The following table provides an index to the Interpretations and Clarifications of the IEEE 1680 Family of Standards that have been formally issued.
  • An Interpretation is issued by an IEEE Interpretations Group and becomes a formal part of the record maintained by IEEE regarding the Standard. Interpretations do not alter the wording or intent of the Standard, but rather clarify the wording and intent if ambiguity or potential misunderstanding exists.
  • A Clarification is issued by the EPEAT Product Verification Committee (PVC). Clarifications reflect how the PVC will apply the Standard in the case of a verification.
If there is any conflict between an Interpretation and a Clarification, the Interpretations prevails. The table lists each criterion in the Standard and provides a link to the relevant text in an Interpretations or a Clarifications document.

PLEASE NOTE: This document provides the IEEE Interpretations and PVC Clarifications as they affect the 1680 criteria. It is not the formal record, which includes some additional introductory material.

For the full document, please see the Clarifications Reports issued by the Product Verification Committee. For the formal record of the IEEE 1680 Interpretations, please visit www.ieee.org and search for Standard 1680.
