EPEAT Imaging Equipment Conformity Assessment Protocols Final

Conformity Assessment Protocols for the EPEAT Imaging Equipment registry have been finalized and are available to all participating manufacturers and PREs on their “My Account” Dashboard  after they log in, under  the “Tools” header. If you are not with a participating manufacturer or PRE but have purchased a copy of an IEEE 1680.x standard, and would like to access the protocols for that standard, please contact Andrea Desimone at 503-279-9383.

Conformity Assessment Protocols provide manufacturer Subscribers, Qualified Verifiers and other interested parties  specific guidance on what supporting evidence will be accepted as adequate to demonstrate products’ conformance with the requirements of the IEEE 1680.2.

These protocols have been developed by EPEAT staff with extensive support from a broad array of stakeholders, who have provided some 550 comments during the development process.

Product registration against the Imaging Equipment (IEEE 1680.2) standard will begin in early December, with public opening of the Imaging Equipment registry coming in mid-January 2013.
